Addressable LED strip lights have become a quick and efficient answer to providing accent lighting around the home, stage, restaurant, bar, etc. A relatively low-cost option is low voltage, 12 volt & 5 volt & 24 volts Addressable LED strip lighting. These discrete strips are sometimes called led ribbon lights or flexible led strips, referring to the ease at which they form to any surface to provide a soft, smooth accent light. Their low 12VDC & 5 volt & 24-volt power input makes them run at an efficient rate while 5050 LEDs keep it running cool and safe to run in tight spaces.

The WS2812B addressable LED strip comes in several models that differ in size, sealant, pcb or LED density. Choose the one that best fits your purposes.

 It is 5 meters long and the LEDs are enclosed in a weatherproof tube. So, they can be left outside in the rain and dust without any problem.

This ws2812b led strip is flexible and it can cut by any size, as you see the below picture, the strip has many segments, each segment has one led. 

You can change the size by cutting the strip with a scissors in the right place, each segment has a scissors pad, it is remarked.

These strips come with male connectors at the end. It is  for connecting female connectors.

Wire the WS2812B LED Strip with 5v source

The LED strip should be powered using a 5V power source. At 5V, each LED draws about 50mA, when set to its full brightness.  This means that for every 30 LEDs, the strip may draw as much as 1.5 A. Make sure you select a power source that matches the strip’s needs.

How to wire LED RGB Controller

In this example, the WS2812B LED strip will be powered using the 5V SP002E controller. Strip female connector with SP002E male connector.
